Work experience- Day 1.

So the first day of work experience, I was so excited but a little nervous. As soon as I walked into 800 everyone was so nice and went out of there way to make sure I felt comfortable. I didn't really know many of the staff, apart from a few that i had known from my previous School. Today I was working with the grade two kids. For the Morning I helped one of the classes with their spelling words and reading groups. I was surprised at how willing the kids were to talk to me, none of them were shy and they asked heaps of questions. We played a few little games then it was time for recess. After recess I worked with a different grade 2 class and we watched videos about castles, and then they wrote letters to their family/friends asking them about castles. After Lunch I was back with the first grade 2 class, and they worked on their projects. I helped some kids with painting and building things with cardboard boxes and crafts. Overall I really enjoyed my day, it was a lot more fun than I expected.

  1. Emma, thanks for sharing your work experience reflections, it sounds like you enjoyed the environment of a primary classroom. It is interesting that you mention that it was fun, I think it's really important that learning is fun. Did the experience remind you of your memories of primary school? Remember to check your spelling and punctuation, well done
